<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">

The basis practice of yoga is self-inquiry which, through this process, we create change within ourselves. Before I started practicing yoga, I was more selfish and immature. The grass always seemed greener on the other side of the fence. Yoga changed my world perspective and philosophy in a way that has helped me live my life with more grace and integrity. I care for myself and others more deeply, my eating habits have become conscious choices and my friendships have evolved. I no longer spend time with people who are addicted to drinking and drugs, or those that spend their time gossiping about other people. I look for people who help me feel good about myself and those who are more happy and have goals in their life.

As I have aged, my physical yoga practice has changed as well. I am not so determined to move my body into unnatural shapes anymore. I am not so demanding of myself in my practice either. This is not to say that I don't enjoy challenging myself and working slowly into postures that I have been unable to. I realized that yoga isn't about the postures we can get our bodies into but it is about learning to sit still, to become the witness to everything that is passing through my awareness, like laying on my back in a grassy meadow and just watching the clouds morph from one form into another. I think the most beneficial gift I have received from the practice is to learn to just be comfortable with myself.

By studying yoga and practicing it, I have learned that everything I need is right here within me. I just need to sit with myself and get quiet enough for me to see and feel it. Yoga, I think, is simply a foundation to open the body so we can sit without any body pain. When we can sit comfortably, we can create the stillness needed for deep self introspection.

Many times when I sit, my mind is just a constant stream of random thoughts, worries and aggravations. It's like my mind cannot be quiet because it wants time to process my experiences throughout my day. Over time and with guidance, I have developed the practice of just sitting two times per day, in the morning and evening, and instead of trying to meditate and feel unsuccessful, I just sit without any expectations and watch the patterns in my mind emerge and dissipate. There are times when I don't feel stillness in my mind at all but by simply taking time out of my day and sitting with myself it allows me to connect with my authentic self.

Just like I must do each time I step onto my yoga mat, I look at it as an opportunity to be with myself and connect with the Divinity within me. One of my yoga teachers once told me that a sign of an advanced practitioner is someone who knows when to back off, someone who can recognize the feelings in the body in each pose. If something doesn't feel right and my body begins to shake or the rhythm of my breath is off, this is a sign that something is either mis-aligned or that I am going too deep, too fast. Then I need to back off and return to the rhythm of my breath.

Injuries in yoga, in my opinion, can be prevented when we learn not to push ourselves. We are taught to push and compete in so many other aspects of our lives. Yoga is not a sport or even exercise! We are not meant to multi-task in yoga. It is a process of continuing to practice daily and focus our mind, to move in coordination with our breath to evolve our consciousness. Yoga is about transformation and liberation! There is no competition with ourselves or others. What we may have been able to do yesterday may not be the case today. The practice of yoga changes everyday, to show us that nothing is permanent and that we must become flexible in our minds as well as our bodies.

Yoga is a practice that is not just done on the mat. It is a lifestyle and a reflection of how we chose to live our lives. Are we living with awareness or moving through it on auto-pilot? Yoga is reflected in our thoughts and in how we treat people. It is not about how bendy we can be or what advanced pose we can get into. There are no "shoulds" in yoga. Yoga is an unfoldment and revelation of the human spirit. It is individual and unique for each person. It is a gift to be valued and shared and expressed in our own way.

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">For weight-loss hypnosis by Zoe Featherstone, click on the arrow!

If your only contact with hypnosis has been seeing a hypnotist perform on stage, then you might think hypnosis is simply a form of entertainment. While hypnosis can be used for entertainment (and some people have made a lot of money doing just that!) it´s only part of the story. Hypnosis is so much more than that.

Believe it or not, hypnosis is entirely natural. Any ideas you might have held about it being a mysterious art should be disposed of completely. The image of a caped demon forcing you to look into his eyes and subequently turning you into a zombie, incapable of doing anything other than what your 'master' commands, is a lot of nonsense. It might make for good television or stretch the special effects department working on a Hollywood blockbuster, but in truth these represntations are little more than exaggerations of certain aspects of hypnosis.

Real hypnosis is at work all around us. It´s there in the advertising, we read in newspapers and magazines or see on the television. You feel it when you´re driving your car from A to B down a stretch of road you know well, only to realize when you reacht point B that you have no memory of the actual journey itself. Or you might experience it if you´re an artist or musician, becoming so engrossed in your activitiy that you are oblivious what´s going on around you, even sometimes not hearing the telephone ring or a knock on the door.

When a person becomes hypnotized, the hypnotist frequently says things like 'deeper into sleep', or 'your eyes are getting heavier, you cannot keep them open, you´re going deeper and deeper to sleep'. The truth is, though, that when someone is hypnotized, he or she is not asleep but in an altered state of consciousness. This altered state has many names, but the best way to describe it is like being in a trance, where you are not quite awake but not quite asleep either.

It happens to everyone. When you come home after a hard day´s work and sit watching the television, sometimes you doze of. You´re not asleep because you can vaguely hear everything that´s going on around you. You might often wake up with a jolt, realizing that you drifted of for a moment. That time just before you get jolted back to reality is what feels like to be hypnotized: vagualy aware of things but not fully conscious; not quite asleep but not completely awake.

So a hypnotized person may look asleep, but he or she is not. In order for hypnosis to work, the subject has to be awake. By bringing him or her into trance, the hypnotist makes it appear that the subject is sleeping, when in fact he or she is still conscious but in a state of increased relaxation.

Another thing to remember about hypnosis is that it requires focused concentration. Once a subject is in trance, the hypnotist can skillfully manipulate the thoughts of that person and make them focus on a single topic or idea. That´s when the hypnotist works with the subject to help him/her stop smoking, lose weight, overcome a phobia, etc. Or for a stage hypnotist that´s the time when the subject will be given suggestions about responding to a piece of music, an action or a series of word or phrases.

When you are asleep, your powers of concentration shut down and you are unable to respond to suggestions. So when a subject gets to relaxed that he/she falls asleep, the hypnotist must postpone the session or dismiss the subject until a later date.

We know know tha hypnosis is a natural state that can be entered into at almost any time of day. In fact, scientific evidence has shown that we go in and out of hypnosis many times throughout every single day. So there´s absolutely nothing for you to fear from this completely natural state of being.

Wendy Stokes https://wendystokes.co.uk

There are many causes of low self esteem. It is a largely unrecognised condition that controls your life, reduces your enjoyment of life, causes you to not succeed in life, either in the work environment or in personal relationships. Especially, you might allow yourself to be badly treated by other people - or treat other people badly - and you might not be ambitious for yourself or your children. You might not realise just how low your self esteem is. Working to improve your self worth is something you can do for yourself.

Adults take in an average of almost 25,000 breaths each day, and that's just at rest. While it's true that most of us don't stop to think about the breathing we do each day, it's important to recognize the health benefits of doing so. Take in a breath right now. It comes so naturally, doesn't it? You may not realize that you can greatly improve the way you feel inside and out, just by consciously controlling how you breathe, for even as little as an hour each day.

When you breathe in the air around you, your lungs transfer the oxygen into your blood. This oxygen is necessary for life's building block, our cells, to live and create within us. When you breathe out, carbon dioxide and other metabolic wastes are removed from the blood and back out into the air. For those with impaired respiratory function, such as cardiac patients or asthma sufferers, the result of improper breathing is a catastrophic build-up of toxins and extremely low levels of oxygen in the blood. The good news is that even those of us with impaired respiration can benefit from intentionally controlling our breathing.

Through maximizing each of your breaths in and out, you can increase the oxygen and minimize the wastes in your blood. To do this, sit up straight and tall, allowing your lungs room to fully expand with each breath in. Relax, and breathe in deep and slow, to the count of four. Don't just "nose breathe." Look down and watch your chest rise up and out as you fill your lungs, and then hold it for the count of two. Slowly release the toxins back out to another count of four. Your goal is 6 breaths per minute. Practicing this "yoga-style" breathing just an hour a day will increase your blood oxygen levels, something some scientists believe leads to greater heart and overall health.

Even beyond the physical benefits, proper breathing can have a powerful effect on your spiritual and mental well-being. Shallow, rapid breathing often accompanies a state of stress and anxiety, even if we're not consciously aware of feeling pressured. As a defense mechanism, stress and tension cause us to "constrict," not only our breath but every part of our bodies.

Unfortunately, this constriction also greatly dampens our creativity, inspiration, mental clarity and more. If we stay in this repressed state for too long, we find ourselves feeling increasingly confused, spacey and disconnected from our center - which only makes us feel more stressed and constricted, and the vicious cycle continues indefinitely.

Proper breathing not only refreshes and energizes your body; it also connects you more deeply with your spiritual self. In fact, you may be surprised to know that the word "spirit" is derived from the Latin word, "spiritus" which means "breath". Many cultures and spiritual traditions around the world revere controlled breathing as a crucial aspect of spiritual ascension and connection with universal forces.

You may not think that spiritual fullness has much to do with your day to day life, but consider the difference between feeling scattered and depleted, or enjoying abundant creative inspiration, joy and peace. Being connected and fulfilled spiritually makes everything in your life seem to flow more easily. When you breathe properly, mental confusion is cleared away, your intuition is awakened, and every moment is infused with a welcome sense of clarity and purpose.

So go ahead, take it all in. Breathe deeply, love deeply, live deeply.
Legend has it that the giant Kali Rau fell desperately and completely in love with her as she was the most beautiful of all goddesses; however, Dewi Ratih did not love him back and refused to marry him. He was enraged and tried to steal immortality from the Gods so he could pursue and win her heart. But his plan was discovered and the King of the Gods, Dewa Wisnu, followed him to cut off his head with his magical disc but he was too late, and the immortal drink had been taken and Kali Rau’s head became immortal.

Dewi Ratih is forever chased by the head of Kali Rau, and when he catches her, he will eat her. This is when the lunar eclipse occurs. She slips out of his neck, restoring light to the land, and continues to spread light and magic across the night sky. She has come through to support you each month so that when drama is chasing you and you are swallowed by darkness and cannot see, you can call on Dewi Ratih for support and become rebirthed with the new moon. At full moon you can stand in the light that sprinkles magic and medicine and trust in the light, love and life, that supports you.

Dewi Ratih’s mantra is “I am learning to trust that I am safe.” Her totem is a hand held painted fan to flame desire and ward off evil. Give yourself five minutes to close your eyes and get comfortable. As you find your still place inside your mind, visualise her holding her fan in her hand as she wards off any negative energy that surrounds you. Keep breathing. Now she will dance around you and use the fan, with graceful movements to fan the flames of your desires, and to make them more vital, alive, expanded and strong.
Mind Body & Soul Ezinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01790404109032122784noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8235781082562246594.post-44465552175469855732024-03-11T12:23:00.000+01:002024-03-11T12:23:00.244+01:00Dealing with Difficult People

Many would prefer to leave a situation rather than use the methods that have been tried and tested over time by others and have been found to work in the majority of cases. However, sometimes, yes, it is necessary to leave a situation where someone's patterns are honed to get the best of yours. Whether it be a parent, spouse, child, work colleague, it is usually a power issue. Do not give away your power. Have clear boundaries. Remain distant and obscure if necessary. Knowledge is power. Use affirmations to contradict your soft natured patterns. Keep your sense of humour. Don't try to fix them. Say 'no' and mean it!
This extremely invasive surgery, at a time of inflammation of these delicate arteries, to cut through and micro-suture, with often delayed wound healing, is outrageous when non invasive scans are available, especially as the result does not matter, as a negative does not mean that GCA is not present and the treatment is the same as a positive test for giant cells. This operation is very expensive and dangerous. Wound healing is often a problem when other means of diagnosis are available.

People in care homes are not being diagnosed, losing sight and hearing, and this is put down to a CVA. This is a far more common genetic illness than statistics show. Patients are told they have temporal arteritis when inflammation within other large and medium blood vessels are totally ignored. Patients who are refusing the temporal artery biopsy are not receiving a GCA diagnosis and are being sidelined by the medical profession. Usually male doctors are specialising in this largely female interest area of medicine. Mostly they are rheumatologists who are not interested in GCA and see patients as a default. It is impossible to get treatment from an immunologist. This should be contraindicated in GCA which can affect the cranial artery. Why are patients with affected blood vessels not being prioritised when we know that Covid is not just a respiratory illness but a blood vessel infection. Vaccinations should also be monitored as many describe GCA developing after the Tamiflu vaccination.

Polymyalgia Rheumatica is often present also with GCA. He developed this method of counselling and therapy to counteract a patriarchal, dominant and overbearing and sometimes abusive power dynamic that therapists and teachers had in the past. He came from a Christian background in the USA and researched the data in order to find out which type of therapy helped the client to recover most from neurosis and even more serious mental illness.

He discovered that all methods of therapy were beneficial if the counsellor portrayed three vital qualities - a non judgemental attitude, a genuine concern, and also had empathy for the client's problems. He did not attempt to diagnose or interpret aspects of the client, but gave patient support, and considered responses to show that he understood what the client was saying on a deep and caring attention.

PCA is a humanistic and existential listening and reflecting method, and a caring response should be available to the client whatever this method is being used. Psychosynthesis is described as the 'psychology with a soul'. It was developed by Roberto Assagioli (1888-1974), an Italian psychiatrist who travelled widely in his early life and spoke many languages. He was the creator of Psychosynthesis, a form of humanistic and transpersonal psychotherapy. It is principally based on the understanding that our personality is comprised of many sub personalities which act like musicians playing in an orchestra without a maestro. By gaining understanding of these sub personalities, we can bring them into harmony, so they create a wonderful piece of music that enables us to have a flourishing life. Love, wisdom and creativity are goals of this therapy. Psychosynthesis uses creative visualisation (also called guided imagery) to access our unconscious mind and inform our understanding of the way we think and feel. Assagioli was imprisoned by the Faschsts and spent his time in meditation. This influenced his work later in life.

I studied The Essentials of Psychosynthesis at The City University, London in 1993. I found it revelatory about my core dispositions, many that were in conflict with each other. By finding mitigating, and unifying energies, the more polarised sub personalities could be harmonised, resulting in a more balanced overall personality.

It is amazing that young children display these strategies, but if we look at dogs especially and other pack animals, such as apes and chimps, we see these strategies are being portrayed. Humans are also pack animals and bullying is a pack animal behaviour.

Bullying involves a perpetrator and a victim and the bully uses personal attacks, put-downs, invalidations, accusations, name calling, blaming, intimidation, aggression, threats, criticisms and judgements, shaming, slander or libel, in fact, anything that controls and undermines the victim’s confidence, and removes their standing and credibility in the eyes of others, so they are silenced and left powerless and distraught. It is very stressful for the victim who will often suffer mental health problems, such as anxiety, panic attacks, depression and loss of self esteem, and inability to concentrate. They may also have physical illness related to stress, and often they don’t do well in school or in the workplace, taking time out to avoid the bully. The perpetrator feels all powerful and satisfied with their abilities to cause trauma. Usually jealousy is the cause!

How is this destructive behaviour allowed to take place in the school yard, in work situations, in neighbourly disputes, between those who were in a marriage or who were once friends? The perpetrator separates the victim from those likely to give any support, yes, but there is more than that! The perpetrator makes the abuse of their victim public, and witnesses who could rush to support the victim, prefer to collude with the destructive behaviour because they know that while the perpetrator is focussed on the victim, they will be safe from the same bullying treatment aimed at themselves. They become willing bystanders, afraid the bully will turn on them. They may even support the bully because they realise the bully has all the power, they will be the unrivalled winner of any confrontation, so they join in bullying the victim too! It is another football game where the strongest survive, a game without morality, where there is no integrity and no empathy for the loser! It is this pack mentality that ends marriages, causes violence and murder, ruthlessly exploits the poorest in society, ruins lives, and creates world wars.

<span style="color: #4c1130;
Bruce Nixon is a veteran change agent, activist, writer, speaker, facilitator and business school teacher and he is passionate about sustainability, global justice, inclusive democracy and non-violence. In this comprehensive book, he brings all his knowledge and experience into the analysis of the state we are in, how we got here, and – more importantly – how we can turn things around and create a new and positive society by facing “the biggest challenge in our history”.
Nixon began writing this book at the start of the credit crunch in 2008 and finished it shortly after the UK Coalition government was formed in 2010, recording the unfolding of the political, environmental and financial events throughout this period as he analyses their causes and outlines their effects. His aim is to provide “the best handbook on the environmental and economic crisis for Everyman.”

His writing is clear and accessible throughout as he explores and analyses the complex background to the problems we face. The book is divided into two parts: in the first, entitled “Making Sense of the Situation We are In: how we, 6.7 billion people, are robbed and our futures are endangered by a few,” Nixon examines five main issues we are facing:

and violence, war, terrorism and the threat of nuclear annihilation.

Three years after publication Nixon’s analysis is as relevant as ever, although sadly the optimistic hopes many of us had for a change in policy from a progressive coalition have faded.

Nevertheless this is not a book which leaves the reader trapped in some doom and gloom scenario. In the second part, entitled “A Vision for a Better World: what needs to be done and how we can make it happen” Nixon explores how we can change the very system that has caused the problems we are facing, emphasising the need to focus on the common good instead of raw self interest, developing ideas rooted in Gandhian philosophy as well as in the more recent work of the New Economics Foundation, and focusing in the power of participatory democracy to create lasting change.

Each chapter in the second section includes a comprehensive mapping of current thinking about ways of dealing with the problems we face, and offers extensive action resources, making this book a DIY manual for creating change. Nixon has gathered a huge amount of information in one place, offering potential solutions to address all the major issues that he raises in the first half, showing us the dangers of continuing as we are, while at the same time giving us the means to respond to the problems.

The book can be read from beginning to end as a kind of primer on the current crisis, but its clear and detailed chapter headings also allow easy access to information on areas of particular interest to different readers. This is a book that will stay on my E-reader: a handy reference guide to dip into whenever there is a need to review the background to the challenges we face, as well as to source information about ways of addressing them – a real manual for building a better future for everyone. Age about? This term means different things to different people, just as the
word ‘spirituality’ means different things to different people. Terms need to
be defined if we are to be able to understand each other. The New Age is a time
of great atomisation, as it applauds individuality and everyone’s right to
define the world as they please. It is a huge worldwide movement, made possible
by the explosion of free information which is available on the internet. Many
spiritual seekers find themselves getting lost in its vast choices and some become
cynical about its more trivial aspects.

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">When did it all
start? It began with the trauma of two world wars which gave way to new hope and
increasing prosperity in the 1950s. Even the mediaeval Vatican made modernising
reforms with the second vatican council. In the hippy era of the 60s, young people had money in their pocket
and they rebelled against their parent’s staid and traditional lives. Young people were inspired by spiritual
exploration from abroad, certainly India, to some degree Hawaii, Tibet and other exotic places. The creativity of music and the arts opened the minds of an entire generation. Belief in the magical and mysterious introduced the
possibility of a radical new era when the sun moved into a new constellation,
described as ‘The Age of Aquarius’ when a better world would miraculously appear.

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Sadly, illegal drugs entered our communities around this time, causing
much distress and dysfunction. We were told to 'tune in and drop out' and to live in the 'now' but without education and work, how could bills be paid and, for society to continue, taxes needed to be paid.

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Due to the precession of the equinoxes, no-one
quite understood whether and when the New Age would occur but eventually it was decided that the
year 2000 would be the date when the world would improve. Our Prime Minister, Tony Blair and his wife took their holiday in Mexico
where they smeared each other’s bodies with mud and fruit and were ‘rebirthed’ in a
sweat lodge. Maybe they were influenced by Hillary Clinton (wife of President
Bill Clinton) who was involved with ardent proponents of the New Age, such as
Jean Houston, Mary Catherine Bateson and Marianne Williamson. (In her
autobiography, Hillary describes inviting Marianne and Tony Robbins to Camp
David to discuss Bill’s Presidency of the United States.)

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Over this time, more and more people were questioning the belief in God. The world was being searched for ancient
practises to investigate, such as reincarnation, meditation, dream
interpretation, channelling angelic beings and shamanism, and new techniques in
healing, such as Reiki, became popular. Ordinary people sought answers to their
problems through tarot and rune experts and other fringe occult methods, and sat in encounter groups and sought ways to restore their energy and balance their chakras. Interest
in health and wellbeing brought disciples of the body, mind and spirit together
with new philosophy and psychology and these became mixed up with old and new ideas,
creating confusion for genuine spiritual seekers. <span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">The ‘New Age’ became
fashionable! 'A' list celebrities jumped on the brandwagon suggesting that they had all the answers to life's more difficult questions. 'Pick and mix' opportunities combined and mushroomed
into newly created entertainment, learning, enjoyment and experience - and new
ways of making money!

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">2012 was then heralded to be the time when the world would be touched by enlighenment, sadly, it is still eluding the powers that be and is still in the grip of the machinations of big business and unscrululous politicians and our world continues to create pollution and global warming. ar

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">People revived after clinical death reported strange experiences of the Afterlife which have convinced many people of a life to come after this physical one has expired. Quantum mechanics appears to support
all kinds of theories that the afterlife does exist. Many people in the past would visit
a church to see their local priest or pastor for spiritual guidance but now people want more and look to the New Age to provide it. They want evidence, to make an
important discovery which will change their life and the lives of others, they want to have exciting experiences and have
talking points to interest their friends, “you will
never guess what I did, and what I was told! The internet has provided access
to ecourses, videos, in depth information on everything imaginable, but are we
clearer about our spiritual path or more confused?

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Much confusion is caused by the euphemistic language of the New Age! Come from the 'heart' we are told but the heart is a muscle that pushes blood around our body. We need to use our intelligence and speak clearly so everyone can understand. Emotionally, we need to have greater empathy, to listen and think intelligently. The New Age is very pre-occupied with what things look like and not with intrinsic value.

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Is the New Age pulling the wool over our eyes or does it show us how we can create a more intelligent society or be an individual who walks in the world with greater wisdom? Very few purveyors of the New Age would wish to speak about integrity, ethics, morality and other values that have been espoused for millennia by all their world's greatest religions. However, values are the only spiritual path and hard work they are too! There is no easy way to walk the path to 'enlightenment'. The path involves caring at all times, commitment and responsibility, practicing compassion, kindness, speaking the truth - especially to power, living a life which is wise and one in which understanding is given, and all these without thought of receiving anything in return.

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">It was all there in times long gone and we do our society no service by having thrown the baby out with the bathwater!
I would like to introduce readers to this philosopher. His name was Origen and he lived from 185-254AD. He was a writer and teacher of early Christianity and is considered to be the Father of Christian mysticism. He believed in reincarnation and the three aspects of the trinity, as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He believed that those in power should pray, yet not pray for material goods but a better understanding of God.
Bruce Lipton speaking about consciousness! The human brain has an estimated 100 billion neurons. Each neuron consists of a vast collection of atoms and an even vaster collection of subatomic particles. It operates like a computer but is much more powerful. Most office computers have the capacity to community with outside computers such as vast data banks, through a "modem" connected to a telephon line. The human mind, under certain circumstances, appears to have this same capacitiy. It appears that it can be triggered to interact with other minds and universal forces. Famed psychologist Karl Jung called this the "Universal Consciousness". World famous Biologist Rupert Sheldrake refers to it as the morphogenetic field. We call it The Super Mind
All living creatures appear to have their own distinctive energy field. As far back as 1940 Harold Burr a Neuroanatomis at Yale University, conducted a study of energy fields around living plants and animals. He discovered that a young Salamander exhibited an energy field approximately the same shape as the adult it would eventually become. Also he foung that the axis of the field could even be detected in the egg stage. When he studied seedlings he found that the electical field around the sprouts resempled the adult plant. But it wasn´t until the Russians discovered Kirilian Photography that these engergy fields around living objects could be photographed.

A Russian experimenter, Kirlian, discovered accidentally that photographs taken in the presence of high voltage fields contained an "aura" around the living object being photographed. Kirlian was an electrician of some renown and lived in a small cramped flat with his wife. He had no credibility at all in the scientific world and it wasn´t for many years that the significance of his discovery was realized. He persevered with this unsusual photography for many years until it caught the attention of the Russian Agricutlural Department. One day, a senior official visited the Kirlians with two identical plants and asked Kirlian to photograph them both to see if there was any noticable difference. Both plants looked exactly the same.

The resultant photographs indicated that one plant had a normal healthy aura while the other was very sickly. The Agricultural man reportedly leapt up and down with delight because some disease had been destroying vast areas of crops and up until that point they had now way of telling wich crops were affected. Now they had a method, via this new advance warning, of finding out wich crops were going to fail if not treated promptly.

Kirilian found that the same thing applied to human beings. A person about to go down with a disease exhibited a sickly aura. In facht at one point when asked to demonstrate his equipment to high ranking goverment officials, his stress level upset his equipment. He used to check its operation on his own hand to make sure it was functioning properly. The equipment starting giving blurred and false readings. He thought it was the equipment itself until he realized that it was his stress level that was at fault. This alerted him to the potential of "reading" human auras.

Ian Legg Supermind Evolution SystemUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8235781082562246594.post-73050589962922883862024-01-30T14:31:00.000+01:002024-01-30T14:31:00.124+01:00A Healing Meditation

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">The Alexander Technique is a simple and practical method to focus our attention on everyday activities and use our body properly. Frederick Mathias Alexander (1869-1955) was an Australian therapist who showed how bad habit reflect on our health. (He spent some time in London UK where he treated actors to stand and move well, breathe properly, add to their energy and ability to perform to the best of their ability. Aldous Huxley was one of his patients. He also visited America and developed an international reputation.) When our body is subject to stress or habit, it develops 'body armouring' which can be relieved through exercises, self-awareness and repatterning. It has no side effects.
