Q: Sometimes, when I meet someone, I know all about them. Am I psychic? Jodie Carruthers
Wendy's reply: Some people are very perceptive. It is possible you are very sensitive and able to pick up on the minute signals that we all send out about ourselves. They say the more we try to hide, the more we reveal. However, you must be cautious not to jump to conclusions about someone who you meet. The best psychics have a free and open mind. When I was training, I was told that Spirit will tell you something important three times, so if you are getting vague thoughts, just discount them and wait for the really important information, when it is repeated. One of the problems associated with this is that getting to know someone is a process that is a privilege and if you know already, you miss out on the enjoyment of learning about that person.
Q: I want to improve my psychic life. How should I go about this? Suzy Metson
Wendy's reply: November is the month of spirituality so this is a good time to start to work on recognising subtle energies. I suggest you create a daily programme, according to the time you have available. On the agenda could be: A morning chakra meditation of 10 minutes, to balance and calm them is a good start. Follow this by sending healing thoughts out, wishing good health and wellbeing to all those who you know, and extending it to everyone in society and the world. Spend a few minutes alone, doing nothing except sitting quietly, listening to your breathing. In these quiet moments, Spirit contact us. Prime your day by choosing an oracle card, being aware of the learning experiences it suggests. Somewhere within your home, create a space for good things to accumulate, such as a flower, a book, a stone or some herbs. Keep a diary of your feelings and thoughts, especially of the good things that happen in your day, the Law of Attraction will attract more of what you focus on.
Q: In my flat, things keep moving around when I am out. Should I be concerned? Kris More
Wendy's reply: This is a very common experience, but people tend not to talk about it. The answer to your question is ‘no’, you should ignore it. The more upset and worried you get, the more it is likely to happen. Sometimes, it occurs after a loss or bereavement, or other difficult life experience. Many people want to contact an active spirit in their home, and talk to it, or invite mediums to find out why it is there. Personally, my own training and experience is that you should act as though it is not there. This gives it no energy and eventually, it will go elsewhere.
Q: I want to learn to read tarot cards but find it very difficult. Is there an easy way? Barbie Hansard
Wendy's reply: There are traditional meanings for tarot cards, and most decks have a book of explanations and meanings in the pack. If you find learning these difficult, the best way is to use your psychic skills to read each card and ignore of the set traditional meaning. Traditional meanings are only a guide, to help new readers. Most psychics, whether palmists, crystal ball readers and others, use the item as a tool to focus their mind, and then their psychic powers do the rest. Pick up a set of pictorial cards, and ask yourself what you think the image on the card is showing, and listen to what your spirit guide tells you.
Q: I was lying in bed reading when a shoebox with shoes in it (cavalla black heels) fell off the top of the wardrobe and on to the floor. There was a window open but no draught coming from the window – blinds didn’t move. Jerry, North Wales
Wendy replies: Spirits gather strength by way of universal energies, such as the moon, astrological position of the stars, and the solstice, all of which generates energy that spirits can utilise. They also gain power from our emotions, especially unconscious/buried emotions that we are not paying attention to in our daily life and need to be released. When we read, we also generate emotive power that spirits can use. I wonder what you were reading and whether the story released an energy of repressed emotion! This release of energy can move items in the room, in this case, causing a box to fall to the floor from the top of your wardrobe.
In addition to spirits, it sounds to me like you personally, exclusive of spirits, could unintentionally have generated power which moved the item. Some physical mediumship needs to take place for a physical item to move, so consider yourself a possible physical medium. With a bit of training, you might be able to move physical articles intentionally, with the power of the mind alone.
Carvela black heeled shoes are very strategic! These are a symbol of wish fulfilment, of high flown fantasy, with a feeling of towering delight, and where you hold your body proudly, upright, dignified, and sexy too! There they were, in a safe place at the top of your wardrobe, where you could see them and admire them. Then, oh dear, they came crashing down unexpectedly! Floored!
Q: As a child, I could hear Spirit, often singing. Could I still have this gift as an adult? Barbie, Lincoln
Wendy replies: Many young children see and hear Spirit but we usually lose this gift as we go through teenage years. If you would like to hear Spirit singing again, just ask! You can revive your ability to hear what is often called ‘music of the spheres’. Angels have great singing expertise and create fabulous harmonies, but there are also other spirits, such as the fairies who sing very sweetly, or you might have an ancestor in Spirit who loved to sing. Be specific in your request for what singing you wish to hear, listen for any words and keep notes on your experience.
Q: Can you recommend a school of healing please?
Wendy replies: Some schools of healing say that healers must be in good health because if not, the healer, acting as a medium for the healing energy, might transmit an undesirable feeling to the recipient. Another point offered that I agree with is also that it can be difficult for a healer to provide good quality healing if they feel weak, tired or unwell. However, many schools of healing, especially the most ancient types, such as shamanism, suggest that unless a healer has deep knowledge of pain, suffering and illness, that they are not sufficiently knowledgeable to offer deep and compassionate energies. I think we need to leave this point of contention to each healer to decide if they feel they can channel powerful healing vibes, and to those seeking healing to choose carefully who they wish to receive healing from.
Q: I visited an old country park over the summer and was sure I saw a lonely lady walking in the gardens with a long flowery dress and parasol, similar to those in 18th century pictures. Was this a spirit?
Wendy replies: It might have been a ghost, rather than a spirit! The two are different. A spirit usually is proactive, and comes to us of their own volition to provide us with a message from the Otherworld. A ghost is a spirit but one that is not aware of us. It is acting out a pattern, over probably decades of time in that place. Most of these ghostly spirits are lost, perhaps when they passed there was a tragedy that has not been resolved, or they have some unfinished business that they are seeking to address. You can help her if you would like to by remembering her as she was when you saw her. Then seeing her surrounded by light and by those of her loved ones who have waited many years for her to make connection with them. See them greeting her and hugging her and see her going with them into the distance, dancing and being happy together. This meditation is called ‘spirit release’ and will help her to achieve her search for peace and love.
Q: I was awoken by a heavy weight on my chest several nights in a row. Is this a spirit making contact?
Wendy replies: No loving spirit would ever make contact in a way which could cause you worry or concern. Spirits come to heal and provide wise guidance, truth and calmness. When they awaken you from sleep, it is likely that something is happening in your life that is troubling you. When you are overstressed, low in energy or experiencing problems, negative spirits can be attracted to these energies. Cleansing your life of negativity is a priority. Restore equilibrium. Get your life back on track so you are in control. That way, you will attract the harmonious spirits that provide nourishing sleep and sweet dreams.
Q Is it possible to foresee the future? Sue Sheen, Wallasey, Merseyside
Wendy replies: There are some remarkable instances where the future has been foretold with great accuracy. However, I would say the most reliable way to make a prediction is to examine the patterns of the past. History really does repeat itself! If you are aware of what has happened in the past, and have some idea of the odds or likeliness of a repeatable event, you can gain a valuable likelihood. If you get a premonition that a particular event might happen, you can register it by posting a sealed letter to yourself with the details of the prediction. The British Premonitions Bureau was set up by Psychiatrist John Barker after the Aberfan tragedy of 1966, in which 116 children died when colliery waste engulfed their school, as so many people had predicted it.
Q: I would like to improve my mediumship. I do hear Spirit but often not clearly enough. Rick, Southend.
Wendy replies: Sometimes, when our spirit guides whisper in our ear, we need to ask them to speak up and make their words clearer. They can do this but it requires more effort and energy. If we think we might not have heard their exact words, we can repeat what we think they have stated and ask for clarification, such as ‘is this what you are saying?’ We can also help them by cutting out distractions that effect our concentration on what we are hearing. Spirit want us to deliver precise messages and will help us in any way they can to get the message absolutely perfect.
Q: I have adopted a dog and want to heal it of a sad past. How do I do that? Brenda Moriarty.
Wendy replies: Through tender love and kind devotion, consistent boundaries and by being there when the dog needs you. This is the foundation of all healing practice whether for human or animals. Through deep levels of gentle caring, we heal the wounds of loneliness, loss, anxiety and distress. By building a relationship of trust, we give something vital of ourselves that shows we will do all we can for its welfare and wellbeing. Dogs are highly intuitive and are sensitive to our subtle energies. Taking your dog for a walk in a natural setting will create a bond of reciprocal understanding. A beautiful love is dawning for you.
